Hello November
And here we are November 3 already. I know I say it all the time but this year truly has flown by. In my mind we are still in March and in reality the year is close to being over already. Crazy.
Last week was a busy week at work with a lot of people out so we had a lot of coverage to deal with. Let's hope next week goes better. Next week is my last week before I leave for Austria. Actually leaving a week from today, Sunday, Nov 10th. I am on a non stop Austrian Airlines flight this time from Newark which is nice. I don't mind connecting, have pretty much connected in most major airports in Europe one time or another but direct is still nicer of course. And the ticket price was really a good one this time so a win-win.
Also really looking forward to visiting Venice with my friend Lydia. We are taking the train from Vienna, about 8 hours. And the train tickets were super cheap too, around 60 EUR round trip. Leaving Thursday morning, coming back on Sunday. (Nov 21-24) It's been 24 years since I was last in Venice, summer of 2000. Like I said time is just flying by. That was the summer Mike and I got engaged (July 12) and our Venice trip was just a few days after if I remember correctly. I wonder where the photos from that trip are. Since this was in the pre digital era I guess god knows. I am relatively sure I did bring the photos with me when I moved from Austria but what box they might be in could be anybody's guess. lol.
Yesterday we went to Rizzuto's in Westport. Been quite a while since we have been there so it was nice to hang out and catch up with everybody. No big plans for today. Going to try and finish my book I am ready ("The Housemaid is watching" by Freida McFadden) Oh and we are going to go to Kohl's. Want to look for something for my mom for her birthday. Let's see what I find. :)
Mail Update: Letters going out on Monday to: Carmen/Malta and Celia/Tucson, AZ. Still owe a response to Kimber/Canada.
