Fall Foliage Weekend
And another really nice weekend. We have really been lucking out with our fall weather I have to say. Really can't complain at all. Of course we are now venturing almost intro drought territory with how little rain we have been getting these past weeks/month so nature would probably be thankful for some rain. Which is also bizarre considering how much rain we had over the summer especially during that really bad storm that caused so much flooding and damage not far from us at all. But I guess it is what it is. I am sure we will get crappy, cold, rainy, chilly, dreary fall weather soon enough so I will enjoy this beautiful, sunny, slightly breezy and just super nice weather while it lasts.
Yesterday we took a ride around Lake Waramaug and stopped at the state park to take some pictures. Really just a beautiful day and some great scenery to enjoy. After your drive/walk we stopped at Hopkins Vineyard and enjoyed our Jersey Mike's sandwiches we had brought with us along with some wine. Just the perfect day to sit outside. They also had some live music and it really was just nice. All there's to that.
The weather is pretty much the same today. Another beautiful day. No huge plans for us today. But we'll take it easy today. No big plans for the day. But happy the sun is shining and it's nice out. Next week looks to be pretty good weather wise too. I am off Wednesday through Friday which will be nice. My birthday is on Thursday (45 -- how is that even possible that I am turning 45??) Wednesday I am heading into the city to see "The Notebook" musical on Broadway. Really looking forward to that. Should be a nice day. Thursday I think I am having lunch with a friend and at night we have a small get together set up for my birthday at Jlaw so that should be fun. No real plans for Friday, just going to take it easy and have a low key day at home, maybe reading or binging something on TV.
